The graduate seminars on
Knowledge Representation and Markup Languages
and
Data Modelling and Inferencing
are focused on issues around the research of the two hosting chairs.
We like to discuss research ongoing in the groups, often in form of student
presentations, as well as to invite colleagues from outside that work
on related topics.
Student presentations
are mostly reports (initial or final) on project and master theses. For
reports on project theses we usually allocate 20+10 minutes, for those
on master theses usually 30+15 minutes. However, these numbers may vary
based on preferences and topic.
Sessions usually start c.t., i.e., follow a german University tradition
to start a course or lecture 15 minutes after the announced time. If
a session follows another oberseminar session this rule is not applied.
